Music & Lyrics

I often utilize my 'SkullCandy" to its full potential... just like today. Was listening to different genres of music (As usual, my playlist is always diverse!!), two songs in particular... It struck me.. The balance of music and voice was different in both the songs.
The first one, by Adam Lambert, was heavily backed by an electronic bass tone which monotonously continued though the entire song. To enhance the tomes of the song, there were layers added like bass beats and what sounded like continued ringing of guitar strings (I am not a musical genius, I simply rely on my ears!) The highlight of the song was Adam's voice, without which the song would've gone unnoticed!
The other was from Poets of The Fall.. I love Maarko's voice though personally... so I will not comment on the voice aspect because it would be biased. But what came out was that they had a lot of instruments to play around with.. And the music and the voice gelled very well together.
Most of the club sings today have heavy music, with passable lyrics.. mostly about how 'aesthetically attractive' the opposite sex is.
But then, Music is not meant to be technically correct always. You cannot expect to dance to Eagles or Queen or Pink Floyd. They are meant to be enjoyed with people that you're close to.. or just alone.. reminiscing about memories.. probably by the sea shore or in a dim-lit room...accompanied by what my roomies would call 'Emotional Talks' (This seems to be the ultimate goal we have on weekends now a days!!!)
Music is a different world that has complements for every emotion.. Heavy metal for Aggression, Fast-paced when you really want to be quick in acting, Saxophone instrumentals for Romance, Old Rock for those lazy evenings, Emotional Ballads for the times when you feel down, Club hits for times you feel elated and just want to let it out and Technically correct songs when you feel like Mozart!
Just a Thought!!
